Whos going to be the best prospect this year from the 2004 draft
my guess is Alexander Ovechkin

Alex Oveckin is a no brainer for the #1 prospect of the 2004 draft.
Malkin is far but comfortable 2nd...

The 3rd place is a little more arguable:

Olezs and Barker... or others for some poeple.

My underdog to become a top quality prospect is Robbie Shremph.
The guy is known to a have a so so attitude and work ethic, but is a very skilled foward with tons of talent and a very good vision and passing skills.

My bet for the second best Canada's foward at the next WJC.
Edit: Crosby being the best of course...

Quite frankly, all of your posts bring laughter.

Could you guys try to be a little softer with the kid!?!?!

I mean he's new and will leanr a lot reading here if you let him the chance to.

And then, his posts will become more relevant and interesting to you maybe.

That's not the first time I see it here. He will probably leave...

Just my opinion?

yeh, his first post was hilarious, but ease up on him, we've all screwed up. and to answer his question i think outside of the big 5 Schremp,Barker, olesz, malkin, ovechkin the best propsect will be Lauri Tukonen he's got Great Goal Scoring skills, good speed and a physical element to his game.

Schremp is no underdog if you take alook at many of the mock drafts and posts alot of people believe that he has a good chance of being picked 3rd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks since Sully and Zhamnov have now departed

Really going out on a limb there arent ya buddy. Hey, do you think the Yankees have a shot at the World Series this year? Does Kovalchuk have a shot at 20 goals next hockey season? Can Crosby be a 1st round pick next year? Will Bush be the Republican Candidate? Any insight from your crystal ball would be appreciated.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Schremp is an American.
He was on the bubble(srange to see that word use twice in hockey prospects thread)of making the USA WJC team
But I agree on BJ21's stance on Jonifan44-He's like a developing prospect...

To discuss the 3rd overall choice-I think Chicago will likely take Schremp-but if he drops past that Columbus wont take him(Two showy superstars of completely different backgrounds-especially American and Russian-wont go well together)(referring to Zherdev)

I doubt Gretz will take a shot at him...

I think Columbus has the fourth pick right?
