I always liked Kevin Stevens, not saying he is the best cause he isnt (the long term success wasnt there) but for a 4 year spell he was pretty damn impressive.

Average year from 1990-1994

Goals - 47.5
Assists - 54.5
Points - 102
PIMs - 180

In 63 playoff games over the same spell he had 36 goals and 79 points.

Bertuzzi at his very peak was unstoppable.

too bad his "peak" was very short lived.

Another guy who's oft-mentionned when talking about old-days power forwards is left winger Gordon Roberts.

I do have Cook as the 6th best RW. Basically, Thornton's list without Bernie.

As someone mentioned above Eric Lindros in his prime was the benchmark for power forwards.

However my favorite is Brendan Shanahan. He could score goals in so many different ways, was defensively responsible, and was a feared fighter. He went toe to toe with some of the leagues greats (Probert, McSorely, Brashear, Ewen, Domi).
