Best of 7 or Single Elimination?

Curious as to what people prefer when it comes to the playoffs. Single elimination certainly has its place in the NFL, NCAA CFP and NCAA Basketball Tournament but I can't help but enjoy a best of 7 series more, the ups and downs of a series makes winning feel that much more special and losing sting just a little more.

Best of 7 gives a better chance for the better team to win.

Not that I'm advocating for BO7 in the NFL, but if it was, the Patriots would win every Superbowl.
