People often talk about the history of #4 and #9 in the NHL, but what about #16? There have been a lot of great players that wore the number. Who are people's favourites?

I possibly could be wrong on this, but didn't Marcel Dionne wear #16?

How about the great Henri Richard ? I'd have to look up the numbers but I believe he ran out of fingers for his rings.

The first two names who came to mind were Henri Richard and Bobby Clarke (both had their numbers retired).

I believe Marcel Dionne and Michel Goulet also had their number 16's retired.

May not be "the best" but Michel Goulet was pretty close to the top of the list.

Bobby Clarke is the best of those mentioned so far.

Followed by Henri Richard and then Dionne/Brett Hull.

The Pocket Rocket gets my vote. At the end of the day, his record is the individual one that matters most.

Bobby Hull, he wore 16 before 9.

All good names and this one has already been mentioned but I will throw another Brett Hull out there.

Yeah, the players that came to mind for me were LaFontaine, Linden and Hull, those would be the best players that I've been around to watch. Any more obscure dark horses that may have been overlooked?

How 'bout Boston's "The Turk" Derek Sanderson or NY Rangers Rod Seiling, a
couple of #16 1970s throwback memories.
