I know it's childish, but the best name has to be Harry Dick.

Childish was the first thing that came to my mind too as my ex wife really loved Craig Coxe.

Also Larry Goodenough was just that.

Ben Lovejoy is a current favorite.

Tie Domi is also a classic, who ever heard of a Tie or a Domi before him?

That and he was literally just a head on a pair of skates.

I like the 1919 Sens, with names like:

Sprague Cleghorn
Skene Ronan
Clint Benedict
Punch Broadbent
Jack Darragh
Cy Denneny

Yeah, I have always appreciated the throw-back names too.

Guys like King Clancy, Dit Clapper, Red Kelly, Turk Broda, Newsy Lalonde, Babe Dye, and Toe Blake.

Evander Kane, just sounds intimidating.

Also, the guy my user title and avatar refer to. Undrafted FA Alex Smigelski that the Pens signed this summer. When I heard his name it just sounded so fake. I'm still convinced it's just Alex Goligoski in disguise.

For some reason when I was a kid, I always liked Joel Otto's name.

Hakan Loob,Helmut Balderis and Pete Peeters( Not that it was necessarily among the best but it just seems monotonous and unrealistic, so it's notable)

Great thread, thanks OP!

Sprague Cleghorn, Robin Big Snake and Beaver Lick battle for the top spot in my mind.
