Petes.......4 options from 3 different decades.

Tough to compare, but the points put up by Redmond. Lacroix and Grant in a 48 game season is pretty impressive

Kinda figures the Petes would have quite the list to choose from. Bob Errey and Scott McLellan out scoring Stevie Y. Funny. Randy Burridge, not a name I was expecting to hear again this week either.

Spruce-Ververgaert-Thomas was a great Knights' line in 1972.

The 1975 Marlboros had two 60+ goal-scorers (Boudreau, Napier) and four 40+ snipers, including John Anderson and John Tonelli with 49 each.

Mike Kaszycki had 41-44, and would win the scoring title the next season with the Sault (51-119-170).

Blasted memory. Cannot recall how the lines were constructed, but that team had two No. 1 lines, lol.

Rolled thru the playoffs and won the Mem Cup completely without Tonelli. They were somewhat loaded...

Yzerman played 9 fewer games than McLellan, and 11 fewer than Errey.
I thought that funny as well, and figured there had to be an explanation.

Yzerman missed time to play in the world junior tournament that year.
Canada won the bronze in the round robin tournament. The Soviet Union won gold with a “no name” team winning all 7 games. Sergei Nemchinov was the most notable......10 year’s after the tournament he played with the Rangers and he had a 10 year NHL career also playing with the Islanders and Devils. Times have certainly changed as far as foreign players coming to the NHL and CHL.

Makes sense. I knew Yzerman graduated to the NHL at 18, so I was thinking he was a '65 born 17yo and Errey was maybe a '63 born 19yo being part of the reason for the difference. 1965 born.....we're coming up really quick on 40 years since those guys played in the O.

I remember these guys coming into Kingston and mopping the floor with the Frontenacs. It is a shame Hodgson couldn't translate to the NHL. He was a dominate force in the OHL.
Same with Grachev, he even had less of an impact in the NHL than Hodgson

Honestly I wouldn't say Hodgson, Duchene and Grachev, only because those 3 were rarely on a line together.
The only time those 3 would be on the ice at once would be special teams situations. Hodgson usually played with Grachev and either Dale or Peluso as the third. Duchene played with Kang a long.

To me the best regular line Brampton ever saw was Wolski, Aquino and Snow in 2005-2006.
Those 3 along with Vernance back on the point basically willed the team to the division title by winning the final 14 games of the season and beating Barrie by 1 point. Unfortunately they weren't deep enough for the playoffs and Barrie curb stomped them in the 2nd round.
