If you could afford any option, to which boarding school would you send your son?

Banff Hockey Academy, Banff, Alberta

Bishop's College School, Lenoxville, Quebec

Harrington College of Canada, Harrington, Quebec

PEAC School For Elite Athletes, Thornhill, Ontario

Ridley College, Saint Catherines, Ontario

Rothesay Netherwood School

Saint Andrew's College, Aurora, Ontario

Saint John's-Ravencourt School, Winnipeg

Stanstead College, Stanstead, Quebec

They are all very different, I know. But which is the best?

I played for Stanstead College about 8 years ago. We weren't bad at all back then.
We played our first games against midget AA team. I remember our very first after 1 week of practice we tied a team in MTL that was 14-0 already (they went on to be the best team in their league that year). Anyways, I think back then we were a week AAA team our best players were as good or better then AAA's best but we had no depth at all. (bishops was simply no match for us with scores like 15-1 , 9-2 etc.)

Now I reffed them 2 years agoand they'd kick our ass pretty bad. The kids there were amazingly talented. BCS was much better, but they didn't match SC well yet (not cause BCS hadn't improved but because SC was such a good team)

Now I think SC has a new coach this year they had one the past 3 years and I think he's gone. Mine was Mike McNamara who built the hockey program at SC and was an amazing hockey mind and coach.

Stanstead is getting a new arena, it should be built somewhere in the next year, that have started already. BCS arena is the coldest in the Eastern Township and I believe it's one of the oldest in Quebec .

Overall BCS has more sport facilities then SC and both school have roughly the same the same feeling of ''old english heritage'' .

Keep in mind that both places will probably cost you around 45K yearly

Would Notre Dame in Wilcox, SK count as a hockey boarding school. Probably has the most famous alumni. Allot of their high end bantam AAA players are getting drafted to the WHL.

St Andrew's College hockey video

This is the St. Andrew's College hockey video. I must say it is rather compelling.

some one already mentioned it but notre dame is the best

you should also look at US boarding schools, many of the schools in the northeast have better hockey programs than the schools you mentioned. In fact a decent amount of kids get drafted out of new england boarding schools every year

With all the other academies popping up they aren't what they used to be.

My son's friend plays for the U16 A squad at Saint Andrew's College. They've got lots of great local talent to pull from, like the Waxers and Express. They've got some great offensive prospects according to my son's previously mentioned friend. Jack Barr and Cameron Butler, I think their names were. They've apparently got a really hot goaltender too. That one's kind of skeptic though, because he's apparently an 03 AA tender for the Aurora Tigers. Seems kind of skeptical to me. I believe their offensive talent is top notch, and correct me if I'm wrong, but my son has informed me that Jack Barr has been signed to Harvard already.

I'd pick SAC... Shame the tuition is so high though.
