Title is pretty straight-forward. In your time as a fan of your team, what is the best goalie performance against your team in the playoffs over the course of a series.

As a Canucks fan since the turn of the millennium, the answer is easily Tim Thomas in 2011.

When Toronto played Carolina in the 2002 Eastern Conference Final, I remember getting frustrated that they couldn't capitalize on all their chances against Artus Irbe. In total they scored only 6 goals in six games, with only 1 goal coming at 5v5 in Game 1 and their most goals scored in a game was 2 goals in Game 1.

Montreal put up 9 goals against Gerber in 4 periods before he was pulled for ward. Every goal after that felt like a monumental effort (captain hook trying to take out koivus eye didn't help either). Cam ward obviously went on to win the Smythe that year.

The craziest thing is how hard Irbe's career fell off after that playoffs. I mean he was aging but his numbers the following season were brutal and was out of the league not long after.

Hasek with that 70 save shutout game in the playoffs is gotta be top 3 for sure, it forced a game 7 for the Sabres vs Devils.
Wasn't against my team but it was damn impressive, I was 9 years old and started playing more goalie in road hockey because of it.
Year? Opponent? Looking for series performances rather than single-game.

Looked up Holtby's stats from then. He faced 40+ shots twice in the series, won both and allowed just 1 goal in each. In the 7 game series allowed 1 goal in a game 4 times.

Frustrating as hell. One of those one goal games he lost because he carried the shutout into overtime. Next game, won 2-1 in double OT. Allowed 1 goal in Game 7 and did this.

My bad.

It was in 1994, The Sabres vs Devils in Eastern Quarter Finals.

Hasek went 3-4-0 but forced game 7 with that game 6 win, a 70 save shutout.
13 goals against in those 7 games, .950 sv% with 2 shutouts against the 2nd ranked offense

3 of the 4 wins for the Devils were 2-1 wins.

Yep. JS Giguere

We were a very good team in 2003 but he basically single handed swept the Wings in the first round.

Only 6 goals allowed in the 4 games. Had shots against of 34, 37, 36 and SIXTY-FOUR (in which he allowed one goal).

One of the most dominant performances I’ve ever seen. It made me feel better than he kept it up the whole playoffs, especially against Minny in the third round where he only let in one goal the entire series...
