Detroit had two notable units:

The Russian Five (Kozlov-Fedorov-Larionov) of 95-96, although that was unique in that it was really a 5-man unit.

Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom of 07-08.

Both lines/units had the Selke winner, league +/- leader, and the President's trophy.

The 07-08 unit had the Selke winner and another finalist, two Top 10 pt finishers, and the Cup at the end of the year to boot.

Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom is pretty good. Kinda hard to find a dominant trio.

Kamensky-Forsberg was deadly but never had a 3rd euro.

Sedins i guess, but never a 3rd euro

arvedson sedin sedin was very short lived but quite productive (4 full games: 6 goals by arvedson, 1 goal 5 assists by henrik, 2 goals 5 assists by daniel). it was nuts: crawford put the line together and the sedins come to life (this is 2004, so pre-breakout; the sedins combined got 96 points). arvedson gets injured the very next game and misses a month. comes back, they roar, then arvedson’s career ends three games later.

not really answering the question but sedin sedin naslund salo was an auto-victory in 4 on 4 overtime

Beastly line of Berezin|Sundin|Höglund.

Also Ponikarovsky|Sundin|Antropov. So Sundin led two magical Euro lines.

Not the best euro lines, but in the early '90s the Capitals had Pivonka-Bondra-Khristich together, they had some nice chemistry. WSH also at one point had Fedorov-Ovechkin-Kozlov as a line.

Didn’t Garpenlöv appear on a line with Larionov and Makarov on the 1993–94 San Jose Sharks?
Yes, and that line played an integral part in upsetting Detroit in the '94 quarterfinals. A 7 game series, Larionov led the Sharks, 2-8-10, Makarov had 6 goals, and Garpenlov had 5 pts.

Ovechkin - Backstrom - Kozlov was the most common top line for the Capitals in 2007-08

Johan Garpenlov - Igor Larionov - Sergei Makarov was the Sharks top line 93-94.

Thomas Steen - Alexei Zhamnov - Teemu Selanne played together on & off during Selanne's hot rookie year. Also had Evegeny Davydov - Zhavnov - Selanne & Davydov - Steen - Selanne.

Not the same scale, but Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Kovalev in 2007-2008 were very strong, especially Kovalev (the Lafleur hair year). But even Plekanec was a good offensive player back then, and Kostitsyn was up-and-coming.

I admit I thought Kostitsyn would become a 100 pts player in this league back then, I was wrong, but he had everything to do it except a toolbox or whatever it was that screwed him from fulfilling his potential. He had every weapon offensively; strenght, great shot, good skater, great hands.A shame.

He scored some crazy goals like that one:
