Ermmmm...

Alex Debrincat, but not Nikita Kucherov?

As for the vote, probably between Keith and Bergeron - but I wouldn't be shocked if at the end of the day Kucherov is held in higher esteem.

1. Patrice Bergeron
2. Nikita Kucherov
3. Duncan Keith

Kuch will take over the #1 spot if he has more seasons like the past couple.

As others have said, Kucherov should really be on this list and Brent Burns was not a second round pick.

Also, he would/should never win the poll but given that you have guys like Debrincat and ROR on here, David Krejci should probably be on the list too.

Happy to see Gibson there, but he doesn't quite match up with some of these names at this point in his career. Maybe later.

One of the three of Keith, Kucherov, and Bergeron.

Keith... top 10 defensemen from 2009-2017, 3 Smythe worthy playoff runs including 2015 which is among the best ever by a d-man.

If Kuch wins the Art Ross again next season or at least finishes top 3 he would be in the discussion as well.

I'll take Keith in this poll but Bergeron is a great choice too looking at their careers. Both hall of fame players that there teams couldn't win without. Also like many before have said, why is Kucherov not there?

Bergeron over Keith?

That’s pretty insane to me. Bergeron is great obviously but uhhhh Keith has Norrises and a Conn Smythe. Bergeron has Selkes. Has Bergeron ever been the best at his position like Keith?
Fair point, but longevity leads me to pick Bergeron. And he's probably the best defensive forward of all time.

I think the franchise defender wins, especially when factoring in the Cups and his performance in the playoffs.

Bergeron is close though. Kucherov and Gibson could eventually jump to the top of this list as well.
