It’s tough to pick a top album this year. There have been some good releases but nothing has really stood out. My most listened to I think have been Snail Mail, Iceage, Denzel Curry and Tash Sultana.

I’ve been listening to Courtney Barnett’s new album more and it’s been growing on me.

It is good, don't know why I was initially reluctant to pick it up seeing how I love most everything from Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Golden Smog and the Billy Bragg albums.

I really feel like Beyondless by Iceage really was underrated this year. The horns and orchestra in this album really gives it a dramatic feel. I'm drawn to different sounding music and this album really hits that I think.

Most of the year I found I was switching between Lush and Be The Cowboy the most. I do need to go back and give that Janelle Monae album a solid listen.
