Probably because he skated as though he was wearing broomball shoes.Does anyone remember why he was drafted so late? His USHL and college stats looked very good.

Literally the only good player the Pens drafted after the 3rd round in the past 15+ seasons and they didn't even sign him.
Benn - Pavelski - Stone
Palat - X - Gaudreau
Lee - X - Kubalik
Hyman - X - Kaprizov
Slavin - Krug
Giordano - Brodie
Muzzin - X
Lundquist
Rinne
Andersen
EDIT: Edited to include other listed players. At what point does this team become a contender?
in the 7th round. close thread.
Pavel Datsyuk
-- If you're going to put undrafted guys like Giordano on there then put Artemi frikkin Panarin there too.
-- Artem Zub looks like a top 4D this year, give him that last RD spot.
-- The only issue is at center ice. Good centers are almost always taken in the top rounds. The last #1C taken in the 5-7 rounds? Anyone? Do we have to go all the way back to Datsyuk and Zetterberg?
-- That said, Trocheck was a 4th rounder. Slide him in to 2C.
-- The Hawks have two rookie centers this year taken late (Kurashev) or not taken in the draft at all (Pius Suter). They can go 3C and 4C.

Panarin if you are counting undrafted players
He wasn’t drafted in the fourth round or lower.

...the remainder can go take a seat and watch
Slavin in good.... but Mark Stone good?I don't know. I love Mark Stone but I would still take Jacob Slavin over him...
