The same way Wayne Gretzky would turn the Coyotes into a great franchise
The same way Phil Housley would turn the Sabres D around this year

It's great that Bureau was a strong faceoff guy, so was Kirk Muller...there's no guarantee what he knows is translatable to players.

You know what would help with faceoffs?

Ehh we have Kirk Muller who was a centre and great at face offs. Seems more like a bored ex NHLer wanting to get back into the game. If it was Perreault I'd say maybe.

Bureau is Patrice Bergeron faceoff coach. Just saying

Since when?

If it's this season, Bergeron lost 4.5% in faceoff efficiency compared to last season. It's his worst FO% since 2008-09. So it's a good thing we didn't hire Marc Bureau if I can throw that.

Beside that info published in the same article, I've never heard of it. I find it funny to throw a name like that in it.

...and in in real life too. My son played against his son's team and, as a parent, he overreacted continuously in the stands. It was embarassing.

Oh please...back in 2011, I was at Cabana's in Brossard, Marc Bureau was checking out my woman, I gave him a stare and he immediately looked away.....he's got no ballz.....me and my Romanian GF at the time at a great laugh at his expense!!

For those wondering, Marc Bureau was his Junior coach. He credited him in one of his Selke Trophy winning interviews.

Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron wins record-tying fourth Selke Award - The Boston Globe

His dedication to the art of faceoffs came later, said Bergeron, who credited Real Paiement and Marc Bureau, two of his junior coaches, for helping him with the craft.“

Honestly, junior was when I really started to pay a lot of attention to it,” he said. “Marc was a center, and an assistant coach [with Acadie-Bathurst], and he really worked a lot with me. That’s when I learned a lot, and also realized that I needed to be better to take the next step.”

If there is one thing he has proven it's the MB knows what he's doing. We should trust this man implicitly.

There are no indications that it would work. But since you aren't able to do shit....what's there to lose? Oh right.....he's not in the foxhole. Bureau should try to find out if he's releated to Larry Carrière, 'cause clearly NIck Carrière, he, was a must in our AHL coaching.

No, I'm just trying to see if it's a sensationalism journalism or not.
I'm not against the use of a specialist coach or denying Bureau and Bergeron's relation.
I just find the news a little bit too much.

That's an interesting read. In the picture, it's Logan Shaw taking faceoffs with Bureau.

In the PressReader, it says that Bergeron was helped by Bureau (he was hired as Scout) in his junior time.
IMO, taking credits as Bureau seems to be saying in 2018 is somehow hypocrite.

You must have ignored my link where Bergeron brings up how Bureau helped him: Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron wins record-tying fourth Selke Award - The Boston Globe

Bureau says nothing. It is known, it is a fact. Patrice Bergeron will be known as one of the best faceoff guy of all-time. And Marc Bureau helped him. That's it. So point is....how about just asking him and try to teach our guys. What's the worst that can happen? Doesn't work? Why is Sébastien Bordeleau good enough to be a skills coach, but Marc Bureau can't be a faceoff coach?
