Definitely has #1 center upside in the Johansen-mold.

When he's healthy he's a beast. Just hasn't been healthy for the last two years.

If memory serves, Pronman wasn't very high on Brown going into the season. Nice to see he is turning some heads with his play

I remain unsold on Chlapik but it warms my heart to see Brown and Batherson do so well.

    More positive energy on here.

Jason Spezza was a great centre. In his prime here, that guy centred the most productive line in hockey and was an absolute wizard on the power play. If Brown has Spezza's career, you have to be pretty happy with that.

Utica lost in OT too so Belleville is now 5 points back. Kinda sucks every one is picking up points but they're in a better position in the standings now than when the 3 game weekend trip started.

Brown definitely reminded me of Getzlaf and Spezza out there today. The way he controls the puck down low in the offensive zone, protecting it with that big body and reach, always looking for a guy open for a tap in. He's got the shot and touch too to finish plays. He absolutely has that kind of upside. He's taking huge strides in his game right now and deserves to be mentioned as our top prospect and maybe the most important player in the system. I love Batherson and am totally convinced he'll be a star in the NHL but Brown at center could totally turn around this franchise if he were to fulfill his potential. That Belleville PP seems to totally work around him.

Lol, bro let's simmer. Don't get my hopes up on Brown and Batherson becoming top liners on the brinks of us losing our best forward since Alfredsson.

If Brown is a 1C then half the rebuild is done... that’s like 50% of a rebuild, find a 1C

oh I'd be super excited. That'd be incredible. I just said lol cause it's funny how we ship out Spezza in 2014 and 2 years later we draft a less-hyped Spezza

Where is brown in terms of rookie scoring if we look at Point per game?

Pretty much no one was noticeable in a good way on the defence. They were tired though and I realize the number 1 d man is out but damn, They need to find a puck

He is 6th, behind Batherson, Troy Terry, Kyrou, Dube, and Cooper Marody

He is 4th in point per game of players under 21, behind Batherson, Kyrou and Dube

Tied with Borgstrom but Brown has played more games

Batherson is 2nd in points per game as a rookie...but really first as #1 has only played 2 games.
Of qualified players Batherson is 1st at 1.19Pt/G
    Brown is 6th at 0.92Pt/G

I hope we sign the UFAs and keep Brown/Batherson in Belleville. Those are the meaningful games right now. After our season is done (hopefully a late push to avoid 1st overall) we can send any eligible player down to Belleville, maybe with the exception of Chabot (unless he wants to, but he doesn't belong in that league at this point). Adding 5 NHL-ready guys to a hot BSens team could go a long way. Didn't get to watch all of the game yesterday but what I did watch was exciting. At least we may get to watch our young guys play some meaningful hockey down the stretch.

And Dube only played 21 games, easier to keep a PPG with lesser games.

If they keep it up, IMO Brown Bath are the 2 best rookies in the AHL.

By the way, do you know why the Flyers didn't sign Cooper Marody? Seems like a prospect you should keep longer

Well yeah, sample sizes like 2, 8 and 10 games don't count. Thanks for the table, don't need to go on the AHL website to see

He just seems more like a winger to me---dunno why.
Maybe he'd be a good...3rd Center? Or at best a 2nd Winger? He appears to get points but perhaps is more of a tweener

Yeah, I think he'll top out as a 3rd line C/LW. He's a nice complementary piece to fill out the roster, but I don't see anything more special.

I see him as a likely 3rd liner. It's hard to say how his production in the AHL will translate to the NHL.

There was recently a post on the Senators Reddit by user 'valleygoat' where he links to an album comparing a bunch of Sens prospect from the past to the current crop.
    IT CAN BE FOUND HERE

It really does highlight how impressive the year has been for Brown and Batherson. Gives some context to guys like Chlapik, Paul, and Balcers as well.
