I don't think they waive Plekanec after bringing him back during the summer, 2 games short of 1000...said it at the time and i'll say it again.

It was an unnecessary signing, or at the very least, there was no need to rush out and sign him 1st thing on July 1st, especially not at the money he was signed for.

As for Benn & Deslauriers...Benn agreed, I couldn't care less if he's waived, in fact he was my candidate to be waived.

Deslauriers though, I'm pretty sure when he's ready they can send him down for a conditioning stint.

To be frank, Benn played really 2 good games, he deserved a #6 spot if he plays all year like this.

What we need is some scoring, any scoring, from Juulsen Mete Reilly and Ouellet.
7 goals and these guys have zilch as far as points go.

2 games into the season.....not worried, the points will come..expect 20 to 30 pts from 3 of the four. Weber and Petry are our point getters...

Oh, it absolutely is in Montreal's interest to get Alzner going. Don't get me wrong on this.
But we can legitimately wonder if a going Alzner is good enough for this D-Squad, and Alzner isn't a player to who a team should show loyalty to.
He’s clearly fallen behind, I’m ok with seeing him as the 7th D, and cap numbers are not an issue since we ain’t up against the cap and we ain’t contenders.

But it won’t take long before one of our D gets injured and Alzner steps back into the lineup. This is good, I’d rather see our D prospects like Fleury put his time in the AHL then being rushed up.

I'm normally pessimistic coming off a long break, but I think with the speed game we are playing we'll come out hot. With quick being out and LA's lack of speed I think we pull out a comfortable win. Carey closes the door and we win 4-0.

Habs have a chance Quick is injured. Last two home wins vs LA quick was not playing.. last 2 games quick was in net in MTL. 2 shutouts.

Habs should not focus on the Kings having a weaker goalie. They should be focusing our own team and continuing to roll the lines keeping the game pace up.

FFS this prolonged break is annoying AF. I thought yesterday was game day then I was certain it was tonight. Finally decided to check the calendar and read this thread title and now know it’s freaking tomorrow.

Man seeing the 92-93 Habs honored before the game will be special especially seeing Lyle Odelein. This could be a tear jerker. I can’t believe what he went through

The break definitely sucks, especially considering how good they played Saturday.

Hopefully they come out with the same speed and forechecking.

Curious what the crowd will be like. We'll see how vocal they are.

I'm skeptical about tomorrow's game after seeing the Flyers get demolished last night in their home opener. They were horrid on defense and their game wasn't up to speed.

As for the five-day break, my patience is running low. But then, you got teams like Tampa and NJ having only played one game so far this season... Weird scheduling.
