11-2 win to open up the season. Everyone played great. Hopefully that quiets the people saying the colts have no depth for a little while.

colts beat the Ottawa 67's not a very difficult task see where the colts are 3 weeks down the road is a better measuring stick then one game against a mediocre team

Pretty low attended home opener by Barrie standards. Especially considering all of the exciting players the Colts have this year.

Yeah. Was a disappointing crowd. But usually the case early in the season for the colts. Should be much higher next week.

Let's see how the Colts rebound from this road loss and more importantly how the coach deals with the two majors Ben took ! I'm sure the league will also be reviewing the infractions.

Colts will have a tough game tonight against the Soo (#2 ranked team before the season started). Will be interesting to see how they make out against them and against Wolves tomorrow and Bulldogs on Sat.

Should be a full barn tonight with the festivities planned!

Few areas that need cleaning up but a big win over a good Hounds team. Thought Lazarev played really good and nice to see Lipanov get his first goal. Murray as captain was a great choice as well.

On Finoro, unfortunate to see him go but lost his spot to younger and better players. To answer the question, he’s a solid in his own end. Good on the PK and faceoffs. Has a good shot. Average skater at best though. Could see him getting 15-20 goals in the Q.

Nice win by the colts last night. Dominating the 3rd period by out shooting Sudbury 19-3. Scoring seems to be pretty balanced thus far. Would be great to get the weekend sweep tonight against Bulldogs. Lazarev seems to be a good edition.

Anyone hear how Aiden Brown is doing and how long he is out for?

Another good game by the colts. Both goalies played well last night to maintain the 1-1 affair. Svechnikov has great hands in tight. Great weekend taking 5 of 6 points and tied for first place. Team defiantly looks much improved over last year (of course they are a year older and the three new Russians help tremendously).

Great weekend for sure. Deserved to get the full 2 points last night but Fulcher stood on his head. Feel like they have another gear once they Gel a little more. Can’t wait to have Tucker back soon too.

Edit: see you asked about Brown’s return. Heard possibly next week.

Ya, team seams to play best when they role all four lines and give PP time to players that our on. Barrie should explore more time on analytics. Because some players get a lot more points and chances for how much time they are on the ice.

Hopefully they can keep it going this weekend. Long ride trip ahead on Friday and Sat.

Impressive, maybe you should have picked the safe bet with Svechnikov with the GWG ;) Great result by the Colts tonight...PP needs some work after a dismal 0-9 game; however the PK continues to impress. Tough early season road trip this weekend and a split would be ideal.

Lucky to get away with 2 points tonight. Questionable hit by Murray late. Hoping that doesn’t lead to yet another suspension. What a game by Svechnikov and Lazarev though. Agree, Try for the split on the road.

Nice 2 road points to finish off a 3 in 3 weekend Svechnikov with 2 more to show why he's considered a high 1st rounder. Glad to see Propp get the much deserved win. Lipanov continues to rack up points early in his rookie season.

Wasn’t pretty at times. But Svech played great and got 4 of 6 points. Lazarev and Propp continue to play well. Unfortunately could be without Murray for a while now.

Good weekend last week taking 2 of 3 with Sarnia goalie playing well in Barrie's only loss. PP wasn't the best and something they will need to address. Not the biggest fan of sending the same players out for often the whole 2 min. and the PP is 0/17. Would be nice to see Hawerchuck mix it up a little and give some of the others players some PP time.

Hopefully a little redemption from last year for the boys in blue with a rebuilding Erie team.
I'll guess 5-3 win with Lipanov GWG.

Agree regarding the Powerplay. Would like to see maybe Douglas given a shot on the top unit. 6’8 230lbs forward with decent skill in front of the net could cause some havoc.

As for the Erie game. I’ll say 6-2 Colts. Magwood GWG.

Murray gets 4 games and is eligible back Oct 21st against Sarnia. Should be able get the 2 pts tonight as Erie played OS last night and the Colt snipers should be well rested and the tenders posting a combined 2.35 GAA and a .921 Save percentage has been a surprise so far to say the least.. On another note I am quite impressed with management and their ability to trade the waiver pickups for future picks; they have done this 3 times this year already.
