Then they aren't 50-50 pucks. More like 99-1 pucks if they always seem to win them. What’s impressive with Dadonov and the whole line in general is that they always seem to win 50-50 pucks.
Have to mention this again, since it’s really important...those two might not be who they are today if it wasn’t for Jagr. His acquisition might have saved the Panthers. He taught those two so much, and you can see it in their game, on and off the ice.
On the ice, they are masterful on offense. They move the puck with precision, can cycle a team to death, their board work is excellent, and their puck possession is excellent as well. Off the ice, he instilled on them his work ethic. Barkov is just a beast, and works very hard off the ice. And the same can be said about Huby. Their off ice training has really taken their games to the next level.
I’m not saying that these two wouldn’t have been as great as they are now, but their style of play could have been vastly different if Tallon never traded for Jagr. Huberdeau was on the same trajectory as some former Panthers high first rounders. He looked like he was going to be good, but not great. Maybe around a 60ish point player. Right in that Weiss/Horton category. It’s nice to see the Panthers finally develop their high draft picks into legit top line stars.
Yeah I don’t understand why people don’t mention Dadonov, he’s just as good on that line
They are entertaining for sure.
Dads is great but he's a tier below Hubs and 2 on Barkov.
Loves Daddy, but he is definitely a tier below those two. I expect Tallon to re-sign him before the season is over, but if by chance he isnt a Panther next season, he has those two to thank. I just dont think he will be as successful anywhere else.
Ah, I'd take Hubey over Rantanen and Pasta, but I get tastes.Good line but Huberdeau and Dadonov are no Rantanen/Pastrnak/Draisaitl
Barkov is the most complete player in the NHL. Turns anyone he plays with into a star. The Panthers' fortunes are tied to him alone.
So rantanen And Mackinnon aNd kucherov Stamkos destroying the league last couple years is forgotten because of injuries and underwhelming team play (Tampa’s sake)
