An MRI revealed he had a fractured ankle...big setback for Cam Barker as it means he won't get a chance to win a spot in training camp --he'll start his pro career in Norfolk the BLackhawks AHL farm team...the good news: it saves the Hawks on CAP due to him now not getting a crack at achieving his bonuses(he could otentialy have been a $2.7 million hit if he hit his bonuses)--if he plays great in Norfolk once he gets back --they may call him up in the 2nd half of the season --but if the Hawks D-corps is doing fine,I guess it means wait till next year for Cam with the big squad...the mystery is how this surprise could have happened and not been detected by either Med Hat doctors after he came back last year or in Juy by hAwks medical staff --since he played well at the Hawks' Summer Prospects Camp...

The bad luck of the Chicago Blackhawks continue.... first Rutuu now Barker. Imagine if the lotto had been different in 2004, Ovechkin or Malkin are exactly the type of player this franchise needs.

I thought all bonuses/incentives count against the cap regardless of whether a player gets them.
