I already like him, a lot.
(can we have a Barclay Goodrow thread going?)

The two hockey gods McDavid and Matthews are elimianted. It does not get any better than that. Goodrow played a great game and brought his heavy game.

Last game (offence aside) he was arguably our best forward. He was relentless out there.

I’ve been really happy with Goodrow. Yeah, we overpaid to get him, but at least he’s been everything we expected him to be. Not only did we drastically overpay for Coleman but he’s also underperformed even by the standards of what we were expecting to get from him.

Goodrow has been solid, I like his game a lot. The price was high but he's been effective, really happy with his play this series.

I forget who made the Crombeen comparison but it's pretty funny, I see that #19 and think wow, this guy can play hockey!

barclay goodrow is quite good. i was one of the few fans not mad at the trade, hes been a good player for a few years now. we're seeing it especially on a line with two absolutely elite forecheckers in gourde and coleman, that line has the speed tenacity and two way ability to infuriate any team

How we feeling about Goodrow now? I think he is playing well in these playoffs, but credit to his line mates as well.

One of our best players night after night. I still wish we hadn't given up a 1st but screw it I'll complain later. Had a goal robbed from him because Point was offside by a f***ing micron.

I'd rather take Goodrow than first-round pick. Looking back we have drafted Howden, Hajek, Stephens, Spencer, Masin, Erne, and Namestnikov with a similar pick. Goodrow is at his peak game, adds value to the team now and we actually might be able to keep him in the future. No idea when the future pick would have been able to come and actually help the team, we drafted Stephens 5 years ago and he still has not made the team.

Goodrow & Coleman were pricey adds but have been worth it. They've added a lot of what we needed more of. Two-way, north south players, no nonsense, grinders that can score. What's not to like? That line as a whole is amazing right now.

Great addition to the team. I followed him on San Jose and was very happy to see him come to Tampa.
when he came to Tampa,i knew he was PK specialist and grit player...but it ment a lot for me,when he began to fight guys, who was playing dirty against our boys thats why i loved him better. I also wish that BOGO can do such a things as Goodrow)

I think he showed the team against Boston in that rough regular season game shortly after we got him that this guy was going all in with us. Dude has been great with Coleman and Gourde

Yeah that game told a lot,but he was new to the team and he needed to do something special to come into the crew. But because he keeps doing it,I set big price for that)

Are the lightning going to be able to keep him. What do you think his next contract will look like? I can see him having many suitors in FA given his desirable skillset and ability to play up and down the lineup. Brandon Tanev for example got 6 years @3.5 AAV (pre-covid) and Goodrow is a better version of him.
