Worth noting that Bouchard and Samorukov both got an assist and were +3. I don't think they've been mentioned here yet.

Hoping for a big year from Yamamoto.

Flames signed Rinaldo and sent him to Stockton no doubt because of the punch up beat down the Condors gave the Shitheel Heat.

Currie and Gambardella play big minutes and they both had KO’s in this game.

Currie beat up one of the Heat’s goons.

Stauffer would call this “functional toughness”.

Looks like a great young team down there.

With Lagesson going back, there are a lot of d-men in Bako who need lots of ice time.

I'm not sure how it's going to work out.

I'm guessing they'll start with something like this:

Lagesson - Jones
Samorukov - Bouchard
Lowe - Desharnais

Manning/Kulevich

Day swaps in for Desharnais when he's back from surgery on his hand.

If Manning gets sent to Bakersfield I don’t see any way he’s not a regular for them. The only reason he was getting scratched last year was because of the veteran limit in the AHL, Woodcroft felt loyal to Stanton and used him in that spot instead. Manning might not be worth an NHL spot but he’s got a track record as a 2x AHL AllStar, it’d be a bit foolish to have him in the press box in favor of a guy like Desharnais.

I don't see them putting two rookies on the same pairing.

Lagesson/Bouchard
Samorukov/Jones
Lowe/? - Manning, Desharnais, or Kuhlevich im guessing.

I think it's a little too bad for Jones, because I see him being made to play on his off-side, which sucks a little for him because almost everyone is better on their natural side.

Bear will likely get sent down too once Persson is ready to go so it's going to be problematic finding icetime for all the prospects and in the same token, sprinkling in some vets (Lowe and Day need to play).

Lowe is a fixture on that team, can't see them benching him.
I also think Manning will be the #7 in Edmonton. Who else is there? They're not sitting Bear in the press box.
I wonder how seriously they’ll consider having Benning up in the press box and running with Klefbom-Persson, Nurse-Larsson and Russell-Bear. Based on camp that’s probably their best 6, and having Benning would let them take either of the rookies out for a night if they have a couple tough games.
