Backstrom vs. Backlund, Eller, Hjalmarsson & Andersson

Huh? I think Eller is more of a two-way player than an offensive dynamo.
Is Backlund really that physical?
I think Andersson has more to offer at offense than PÃ¥hlsson has.

Eller is a good two-way center, but he is very special offensively with moves, shot, hands, skating and passing-game.

Backlund is really physical yes. He can deliver huge hits.

I think Andersson has better playmaking skills than Samuel Påhlsson(and thus might produce more points), but i don´t think its a good match actually. Påhlsson is very physical which Andersson is not. Andersson is extremely reliable as Påhlsson though, defensively, and never has a bad game.

Can anyone shed some light as to why Eller isn't considered a top 10 pick? I am yet to find something bad about him. Sounds like he has quite good (first line) upside and already is a capable two way player so his downside isn't that low. I'm aware most teams are nervous about drafting a guy from a non traditional hockey birthplace but with how Kopitar panned out I don't get it. i realize not everyone like Kopitar will turn out like he did but i figure it would have to give teams a bit more confidence.

Hearing all these good things about Eller and Backlund, do any of you think that these prospects will last until the 15-20 picks of this year's draft?

Im sorry, but you are not right about this one. Andersson is without doubt one of the best centers ive ever seen (at this age) defensively. Eller is very dynamic offensively, but is not as defensively reliable as Andersson. Eller needs to work on his game without the puck, but is still very good two-way-center as well.

well thats my opinion based on what i have seen so far, but thats not a lot. so i guess i will just have to trust you on this one. you have probably seen them a lot more then me
