That's seriously lame. He could just ask for free tickets and not ruin it for anyone else.

I wonder what our lines are going to look like for the game. Right now it seems like we have two forward lines that are working well but leave Ribeiro stranded between plugs. I'm okay with that though, if it's winning us hockey games, because Ribeiro can quarterback our top power play unit. If we get any from the refs :sarcasm:

So we've got:

Doan - Hanzal - Vrbata
Korpi - Vermette - Boedker
Moss - Ribeiro - Klinkhammer
Bissonnette - Halpern - Szwarz

Ekman-Larsson - Michalek
Yandle - Morris
??? - ??? (Okay we all know one of them will be Schlemko, but who else? I can't see through my bias to say anyone other than Rundblad, but that's just me.)

Smith
Greiss

Barring a major move this week, that's it for the rest of the season I'd say.

Gormley is in town and I care very little about left-right defensive lines ... I want to see Schlemko and Gormley as the 3rd pair, Schlemko killing penalties and Gormley on the 2nd power play.

Have you considered swapping Doan and Korpi? Doan-V-Bods has worked in the past, and Korpi-Hanzal-Vrbata seem to be like peas and carrots and, uh, brussels sprouts? I don't know. But I agree that Ribeiro is basically a PP specialist.

I bet we'd see Murphy or even Gormley before Rundblad, to be honest. Rundblad's got skills, but he doesn't play a safe, Tippet-friendly kind of game. In other words, he's screwed.

It's been a couple days, so if the commish was going to veto that, he would have by now ... I'm thinking Rundblad is in Portland for the rest of the season / pending some sort of trade.

Rosters are un-frozen at 10PM Arizona time tonight, so get your popcorn ready.

After that disappointing Olympics, I'm looking forward again to Coyotes hockey and hoping they won't disappoint.

Oh my... That's hilarious. :biglaugh:

It'll be good to have some proper hockey back soon. I remembered the Olympics being more fun last time, but this tournament sucked from start to finish.

Doan Vermette Boedker is one of Tip's go to lines when nothing is really working. But before the break Korpi+Vermette had some good chemistry building so I definitely think we'll be seeing that combo again.

Conditioning assignments can only last 14 days. So he'll be back or traded or waived at the end of "two weeks".

It would be nice to start a streak with this first game after the Olympic break against the Jets. They were playing well after their coaching change in Jan. Maybe they've cooled off. They look to have a tough last 3 - 4 weeks of the season ahead of them.

I think we'll need a week or so to see how all the competition around us responds to the time off. Will we keep playing down to the competition? Do Dallas and Winnipeg keep winning and LA and Vancouver keep losing? We'll need to win 15 - 16 games to get in the playoffs, I think. Right around the 95 pt. mark.
