Agree with the others who say Myers looked good. I liked the penalty he took early. If you don't have your stick and you make the decision to step close on a guy, you go all the way even if you take a penalty. It wasn't unlike what Hjalmarsson did, though that was in the slot rather than on the boards.

Myers looked good with his stick and made good passes and decisions for the most part.

Yeah, and after the inital hit he gave him another push just to make sure he was going to the box. ;) But I agree, at that point, better take the penalty than be nice and get scored on.

How has Steve Ott been offensively? Good trying or just lame?

Having Ott on the time line is kind of a catch-22. While he's great at creating space for Vanek and Hodgson, he's not when the game opens up.

He missed a few chances and made a few not-great passes, especially late when the line really got going. But you could also argue that the Vanek/Hodgson wouldn't have gotten going if Ott wasn't there on the forecheck and along the walls.
