I would not be a big fan of the choice being him If the ownership wants the Seattle franchise to be a destination players want to play for. He doesn't seem to be a players coach.

Seattle appears to be a forward thinking franchise. Babcock seems to be an old school bully with overrated credentials and exceptional salary demands. No way in hell would he be hired considering the press he is getting lately. Not a chance.

Ron Francis has been given the green light from ownership to hire a coach this summer. Original target was Jan-Jun of '21. There is no rush and all due diligence will be exercised, but there are candidates available that may not be free later in the year.

Expansion franchise should have many young players and likely isn't competing for a Cup in a while - even if VGK did.

They should definitely not hire someone like Babcock.

Gerard Gallant seems like the correct answer right now for the coaching gig

I'm pretty sure he's on the list.

Also, it's going to be interesting if Francis tries to get in someone early(he has the green light to do so) or rather waits till the next season is underway.
Could be other options available by the middle of that season as well.

Babcock seems to be a guy that it's his way or the highway. Until he finds a way to change his ways he really shouldn't be coaching any team
