Avs lineup:

$1,750,000 $3,500,000 $4,000,000
$3,575,000 $6,600,000 $4,000,000
$1,100,000 $5,000,000 $2,000,000
$1,150,000 $1,250,000 $525,000

$3,250,000 $900,000
$1,600,000 $2,000,000
$2,250,000 $1,800,000

$1,250,000

It'll be interesting to see how $1,250,000 does, when he returns from his personal leave. Still haven't lost this year.

I do think if they are going to keep $900,000 in the press box, it's better to send him down to AHL. It'll probably happen when $3,750,000 returns.

Don't expect much from ROR as long as he keeps playing on the 3rd line. Big waste of a big contract the team gave this guy to keep him on the checking line.

O'Reilly hasn't played hockey in over two months, and hasn't played NHL hockey in nearly a year. Sacco deserves a ton of crap for the way he handles the lineup, but this is the right move. I don't like having Malkin at that 3rd line LW spot though.

Once O'Reilly gets up to speed he will get a larger role.

I'm not blaming Sacco for playing O'Reilly on the 3rd line. Actually if Sacco puts Duchene on the wing again and moves O'Reilly up to top 2 lines that would be worse than O'Reilly playing 3rd line, because i read on denverpost that Duchene doesn't like playing wing, and he wasn't very good on the wing last year.

I don't think Stastny can or should play wing either. No matter how you look at it, it's gonna be a problem with this roster with the top 3 centers. I still say trading Stastny is the only smart option here.

These next 3 games probably make or break the season. Back to back wins here would be huge and for some reason I think we'll do it. Call me crazy.

It's actually pretty crazy how close the standings are. The 5th through 14th place teams in the west are all separated by 4 points, and they've all played between 20-23 games. There's six teams tied with 24 points!

The Avs have games in hand on a few teams with only 20 games played, and 20 points. There's almost no way the race for the last spot doesn't go down to the very last game being played on the last day of the season.
