Fans, I would like to introduce you the next of our activities that we will work on in the next and our 10th anniversary season. We received some requests thru the Eurolanche Survey in the summer for organizing local one-evening meetings over all Europe in purpose to watch the Colorado Avalanche early games and have a nice talk/beer time with some fellow Avs fans from your city/country. We will give it a try in the next season and if it works, there would be some benefits for the participants of such meetings in the future.
We are now searching for an Avalanche fans from all European countries who would become a main organizer of such meetings. Let's call these persons "patrons". Eurolanche would unite patrons and they would organize one-or-more one-evening meetings during the season, especially on some weekends when Avs play few early games for Europeans. A patron would organize a meeting at some restaurant, pub, his place or elsewhere. If this works, Eurolanche would donate these meetings with some small Avs and own merchandise in the future.
These meetings are supposed to be an alternative to a traditional weekend-meetings for those Eurolanche members, who live too far away from Czech Republic/Slovakia where all past eight weekend meetings were organized.
Just imagine, there is an Avs early game on Saturday and we have 3-4-5-6-7 watch parties thru all over Europe. We could talk via Skype conference call and it would something unique.
Who we are searching for?
A fan/patron who will be willing to organize at least one watch party of the Avs early game in the next season for his fellow countrymen - in your original city or at some place in your country which is located at the same distance for everyone.
What a meeting should be about?
Just to meet at some place with other Avs fans from your country and watch an early game together. You can bring some Avs souvenirs, hockey cards, anything. In the future, there may be more benefits for the patrons and other participants of the meetings.
When Avs will play early games in the coming season?
Nov 5 at 8 pm CET against Minnesota (Saturday)
Dec 18 at 9 pm CET against Winnipeg (Sunday)
Jan 14 at 9 pm CET against Nashville (Saturday)
Feb 4 at 9 pm CET against Winnipeg (Saturday)
Mar 18 at 6 pm CET against Detroit (Saturday)
I have asked some people from here on this and waiting on their responses. If is here someone else who think he could handle this, please, contact me here. Also, share your ideas and opinions right in this thread. Thanks.
