I'm a bit worried about this game, the big divisional/conference games are coming up, could be real easy to look this one over. Hopefully Roy has them where they should be

Gonna miss the first period. Go Avs! Big game from Mackinnon coming up.

Will be representing the Avs fans in the building tomorrow. I wonder if I can get my friends to wear my extra jerseys...

Going on the road should help the focus. I feel good about this one, Avs played really well in the last matchup. Take care of business here and then St Louis isn't as stressful.

Roy hasn't said yet. I'd guess Varly.

I feel good about this one. We need to win the next 4 to keep the pattern going.

    Win 6, lose 1, win 6, lose 1......

I wouldn't be surprised to see Giguere against Blues. He's experienced, calm and it won't rock him if Avs lose.

Isn't Varly supposed to be in court on the day of the Blues game?

Hoping this one should be a win for us since we are going up against some tough teams in the middle and end of the month.

Let's hope EJ keeps dominating and MacKinnon keeps his energy levels high, he has looked great in last two games.

No, I'm pretty sure that is the date the DA receives the case on. Varly doesn't have to go to court just because he is formally charged( or not) with a crime.

Yeah the schedule gets pretty brutal very soon and the avs will be tested. I just hope that they can go 60 to 65% the rest of the way and cruise into a nice playoff berth.

Let's speculate who who will play in the games until end of the month. Here are my predictions:

ue Nov 12, 2013 Avalanche Hurricanes 5:00 PM - Varly

Thu Nov 14, 2013 Avalanche Blues 6:00 PM - Jiggy

Sat Nov 16, 2013 Panthers Avalanche 7:00 PM - Varly

Tue Nov 19, 2013 Blackhawks Avalanche 7:00 PM - Varly

Thu Nov 21, 2013 Avalanche Coyotes 7:00 PM - Jiggy

Sat Nov 23, 2013 Avalanche Kings 8:30 PM - Varly

Wed Nov 27, 2013 Blues Avalanche 7:00 PM - Varly

Fri Nov 29, 2013 Avalanche Wild 4:00 PM - Jiggy

Sat Nov 30, 2013 Wild Avalanche 7:00 PM - Varly

Also I think it will be crucial test for our team. So far we just played one team on playoff spot from the West (Anaheim in first game). We played 9 games against East and common knowledge (and for now also facts) are that West owns East. In next 9 games we play East only 2 times, 6 of rest 7 games are against West teams on playoff spots and LAK is just outside playoff spot right now with some games in hand to Vancouver. We play 5 games on the road and 4 at home on that stretch. IMHO if we wins 6 out of those 9 we finally drop label "they are lucky, played above their heads, goaltending keeps them atop" and so on. I think both games against East are must win, hope we take at least one of two against Blues and Wild, the one agaist Chicago and maybe against LA, we were good against them even in Sacco era lately.

I pretty much agree with your predictions. I could see pushing Jiggy to Florida instead, they might need a little leadership to get pumped for that one and of course one of the back to back. I wouldn't be surprised to see Varly get all the other starts.

Uuh, really tough games coming up. Most of these teams actually know how to play defense. It will be interesting to see how Avalanche does vs Blues and Wild. These are also games, which either make or break your season. You have to win division games, I remember with Sacco we kept losing basically all our divisional games, THAT HAS TO CHANGE..

    Finally a relatively early game!

I can't wait. Lets hope Duchene has another big game in the battle of the natural disasters 2.0

For me here in Poland it's tough decision wheter go to sleep around 11pm and try to wake up at 1am or not to go to sleep before game, sleep from 3.30 do 6 am after the game and turn into zombie-mode at work :) It's much easier to decide with games at 3 am (7pm Mountain), it's simply there, 4 hours sleep before game :).

I read Poland as Portland and spent a solid minute wondering how you were coming up with those times

But yeah I feel sorry for you. I don't think I'd be able to watch them live at those times... it's bad enough as it is here with home games typically ending around 1:30 am.

I must say I'm used to it. Since ESPN360 and then NHL GCL are available (from season 2006-07) I watched more than 85% of AVS games and around 50% Penguins games. I thought when my son was born in February 2011 it will be end of it, but night is the best time to watch games. Wife and son are sleeping, I don't have to take care of my son then, maybe sometimes if he wake up I have to give him a milk or go to toilet with him and lost let's say 10 minutes of the game. If I live in US or Canada and game starts at 5 pm like today, even at 7 pm I probably couldn't watch it live.
