PP is 2/29 on the season and Brind'Amour sends out Zykov-Staal-Aho-Teravainen-Faulk with the empty net.

I rarely have engaged in the coach bashing on this board (I'm willing to say that the Canes lack talent when the Canes lack talent), but this is really infuriating. The PP has a ceiling given the makeup of the roster in terms of not having a defining threat to score or QB either unit, but there has to be combination that can do better than 6.9%. At least make an attempt to see if there is one.

Brindy doesn't strike me as a good coach.

Possitive: Aho point streak is alive; Ferland is beast.
Negative: Top 5 pick incoming. This team is not good. Sloppy defense, anemic offense, worst PP in the game, worst PK in the game, not enough scoring depth

They got 2 or 3 good scoring chances beside.

Defense was great, goaltending and offense are a problem.

Effort is all rod has. There's clearly no strategy other than "skate harder, shoot more". I love brind'amour as a player and person but right now it looks like he is floundering. Doesn't help that "below average" is the nicest way to describe the goaltending either

Aho, Svech & Necas may not solve your goalie questions moving forward, but y'all are gunna start scoring a lot of goals as those three come into their own...and that'll help turn a lot of your hard-fought defeats into wins.
