The Swedish, Stockholm based, game studio Avalanche studios have been bought by
Swedish/Nordic film company Nordisk film.

STOCKHOLM/COPENHAGEN, MAY 30, 2018 – In a historic deal, the entertainment
company Nordisk Film will acquire all shares and take full ownership of leading open world
game developer Avalanche Studios (Just Cause, Mad Max, theHunter).

This deal marks the single largest acquisition in Nordisk Film’s 111-year history, and is part
of its strategy of investing heavily in successful Nordic game studios. In April 2017,
Nordisk Film acquired a minority ownership share in Avalanche Studios, which will
now be complemented by a EUR 89 million acquisition of the remaining shares.
Avalanche Studios, which was founded in 2003 by Christofer Sundberg and
Linus Blomberg, is now valued at EUR 117 million.

Imo too bad, another studio being taken over. I really like the Just Cause games,
not much story but perfect for some blow-it-all-up action, paragliding and wing-suite flying.
