What kind of a micky mouse history blog internuts nonsense allows the death of a former NHL player go totally unreported, the punter and fan finding out, by accident, some 5 WEEKS after the fact???....No official communiqué by the NHL ??..NOR The Boston Bruins:shakehead..Shameful, sad & lamentable!!

Yes, you would think there would atleast be a story on NHL.com.

The NHL??..Reams & reams of data, seemingly endless issuance of stats, deemed important or not....Broadcasters speculating on the most minor tidbit of minutiae, while ignoring the core of the game...Daily sportswriters so busy covering quite superficial subjects, argumentative banter from every possible angle,... they cannot find the time to answer or even acknowledge the reader`s queries..Meanwhile, the passing of Valiant Aut Erickson receives Zero attention, no career evaluation, not even the briefest of nods..or summary...Zilch!...If this is the future of sports coverage...Sad indeed....A shabby shamshow:shakehead

Mike Byers

On a related sad note, just found out that 1970's goal scoring winger Mike Byers passed away in September. I learned this on the Whalers Nation website. It would be nice if the NHL would recognize the passings of their average players rather than just the stars.
