Yeah, Matthews really should be the captain.

Personally Mo was the wise choice. Only guy here more than 3 years. Guy due a huge pay raise who gets peanuts compared to the rest (compared to his output). Might have been a way to throw him a bone and show you appreciate those things and maybe even lessen his demands when the time comes because you have shown him that respect.

He's added some physicality to his game this year. On pace for 56 hits which would be his high by a long shot.

With the shoulder injuries he's had it's probably best that he doesn't. He was never a really physical player and he's been dominant his whole life so I don't see a need to fix what isn't broken.

I feel bad for Hutchinson. Is he a great goalie? No, but the defensive effort by the Leafs was just horrid. They hung him out to dry - they were just talking about it on TSN.

As for Matthews, I've always said he is overrated and OVERPAID!

He's lazy everywhere. Even in the offensive zone, he floats until the puck pops out and then he uses his amazing shot to score or get a point.

He's always been like this.
