Neato.

I assume Rielly and Marner will be joining him. Andersen or Tavares should also be there but 4 Leafs at an all-star game might not be okay with the masses.

"Sandwiched between that, the league’s hockey ops staff gets nine picks per division and will attempt to ensure each of the following criteria are satisfied:
• Have a representative from all 31 teams
• Include the top 10 to 15 league scorers at the time of selection
• Include as many of the NHL’s marketed “stars” as possible
• Ensure the host team, the San Jose Sharks, is well-represented"

Anyone want to attempt the all star picks now?

With this knowledge, perhaps fans should strategically vote for other teams players, if they are tight on the cap.
not many teams have players on their ELCs who are legit candidates for the ASG.

But seriously, obviously Dubas would've planned for Matthews to make the ASG - that should've been obvious.

Sweet I expect to see Marner and Tavares too.

It's highly doubtful that both will go, and when I construct the team, neither of them make it.... not because they don't deserve it, but because every team needs a player in the game.
There are eight teams, with eleven players going. Three D, 2 G, and six forwards.

The best D? In terms of scoring, that's Rielly, Chabot and Yandle.... so that's Ottawa and Florida with a player each in the game now..
The most wins for G? Andersen and Price, so that's Montreal with a player in the game...

Then in terms of points leaders of forwards, in order.

Kucherov - Tampa
Marner
Eichel - Buffalo's representative
Pastranak - Boston's rep
Point - Does he go, so Tampa, the top team in the league has two, and more balance, by teams selected?

So the only team without a player is Detroit - Larkin...

So the question being, is it Marner who goes, or Point?
