This was voted on tournament style on the Maple Leafs Twitter account of various Leafs goals and saves which involved only their players. The runner up was this Marner goal setup by Matthews spin or rama assist.
Both of those Marner goals were more dramatic because they were losing 6-4 with 9:00 minutes left in the 3rd period when Marner scored his first goal on that assist from Matthews.I would put both Marner goals from that Carolina game above that Matthews goal.
Matthews >>drai ainec
Even though that Matthews goal in overtime against Buffalo happened on the road. It was still like a home game when you hear how loud the Leafs fans were when the goal was scored.Absolutely lost my mind when he scored that one. The Marner goal might have been more important in the game, but there's something sweet about the rivalry games with Buffalo. The OT buzzer-beater from last year is probably the loudest I've screamed for a goal in years
Matthews is simply incredible. He is the best young goal scorer in the NHL.Hoping Matthews Stanley Cup winning goal is as aesthetically pleasing.
Marner's goal off of the centre ice face off wins it for me based on difficulty, skill, and context of the game.
At least Marner scored right in front of Gardiner since was trying to hook at him to prevent him from scoring. To make it perfect, would've been better if Gardiner gave away the puck, instead of TVR.
It's funny you say that. I find Auston Matthews game to be a lot more skillful than Draisaitl's, but Drai seems to have perfected the big man's game where he uses his size to eat up space and hold the puck and is really efficient just attacking the net in a straight line at or putting the puck on net. Once Matthews figures out a little bit more of that power game I think you might see him surpass Draisaitl's production.

The Goat will score the Cup winning goal and it will also be his only playoff goal.
