its definitely an evaluation year, or half year (I hope).
I'd say its not so much a development year as a 'wait for Nurse, because we don't want to trade a good player just yet' year.
but, there might be something, perhaps unexpected, that is developing.
McD is better than they thought, or at least he's further along than expected. He is already one of the best offensive players in the league. Talbot is good. This team is in every game. It is painfully obvious that they are 1 or 2 good trades away from competing for a playoff spot, this year.
What message are you sending to your players, and fanbase, when you write off another season before Remembrance Day, because you refuse to address an obvious need?
Chia has to dangle next year's 1st rounder.... soon. because this team isn't so far away that wasting another year is the only option.
