Hey Gents,

The playoff pool returns again this year after a successful trial last season.

Get your pools in pronto because you will not have much time to do it. In order to start the playoff promptly, you will have less than 3 days to get it in!

Here are the Rules:

1. All General Managers are to submit their bracket to me at [email protected] by Saturday, May 9 at 11:59 p.m EST. All submissions should contain the message title "HFNHL Playoff Pool Bracket - General Manager Name"
2. Their will be no fee to participate in order to encourage maximum participation. However there will be a prize. The prize will be $1,000,000 inserted into your team's finances.
3. Remember that when you are doing your team selections, in the next round the lowest seed will always play the highest seed
4. Scoring for Team predictions is as follows…
1 Point for first round
2 Points for second round
3 Points for third round
5 Points for Stanley Cup Winner
5. As a tie breaker please include which player you believe will lead the HFNHL playoffs in scoring.

I've attached the bracket as a JPEG and as a Word document.

Just a reminder guys, only about 26 hours left to get your playoff pools in to me.

I've only got 5 so far (including my own).

This is money for you to earn for your franchises (especially several of those struggling financially).

Results after the Conference Finals

Sean Keogh - 15 points
Brock Otten - 13 points
Ville Isopaa - 13 points
Matt Kowalchuk - 13 points
Hasnain Jessa - 13 points
Pasi Koskinen - 11 points
Cohen Simpson - 11 points
Claudio Mannarino - 11 points
Josh Pitt - 10 points
Nick Quain - 9 points
Jeff Kirk - 9 points
Doug Emerson - 8 points
Matt Kershaw - 7 points
Dryden Lewis - 7 points
Tony Kay - 6 points

And actually, congratulations to Sean Keogh due to two circumstances, has locked up first place in the pool. Firstly thanks to Toronto reaching the Cup Final, Hasnain and Josh were eliminated from contention because they could have possibly overtaken him. Secondly, Sean has Colorado winning the Cup, just as the people directly below him do, meaning they can't catch him either. SO Congrats Sean!

Make sure to remind Kershaw (aka Sim God) to add 1 million to your finances for the victory.

I'm pretty sure I had Vancouver and Buffalo picked to make it to the finals, so close, yet so so far away from contending in this pool.
