I'm using a 4 man rotation and Niekro will be my Long 1. Johnson, Grove (2 best ever), and Seaver will each pitch 2 games and Carlton will pitch game 4. I have the 2 best knuckleballers ever Niekro and Wilhelm as my Longs and Goose Gossage will be my Closer. I have 6 of the top 8 RPs all time in my bullpen according to RP JAWS. My pitching staff will be caught by Johnny Bench the best MLB catcher ever.

Henderson is the best lead off hitter ever and Mantle is the best switch hitter ever. Tris Speaker (9th in WAR among all players, 157 OPS+, 436 Stolen Bases) is my 4th Outfielder, pinch hitter, and pinch runner.

Joe McCarthy is considered the best manager ever. He won 7 World Series, 9 Pennants, 2,125 games, and has a .615 winning %.

Good luck to Prospect Hill!

To start.....I lost track and selected Chipper Jones after he was already taken...so please disregard him on my roster.

****EDIT: I selected Sammy Sosa to correct the mistake above.

My rotation is stocked with power arms in RJ, Nolan Ryan, Pedro and Schilling -- who will be my 4 playoff starters. Kershaw would be used if anyone falters early or in long relief. Smoltz is another mid/long man and then Percival, Papelbon and K-Rod would be my 7th, 8th and 9th inning guys respectively with Myers serving as a lefty specialist.

As for my lineup....like everyone else, it's stocked with talent and production.

Alomar Jr. - Career .300 hitter with over 2,700 hits and 1,500 runs scored starts things off

Griffey Jr. - over 600 HR and 1,800 RBI with a .538 SLG% bats second.

Barry Bonds - is about as good a hitter as there ever was bats 3rd.

Pujols - another 600+ HR hitter with over 2,000 RBI bats cleanup

Vlad Guerrero - with over 2,500 hits and 400+ HR bats 5th

Josh Gibson - bats 6th

George Brett - and his 3,000+ hits and .305 avg is 7th

Cal Ripken - bats 8th

I feel my bench is as good as can be:

1B/2B - Rod Carew - Career OBP of .393 and over 3,000 hits

1B/PH - David Ortiz - The most clutch playoff hitter ever

2B - Lou Whittaker - Solid, dependable and productive

OF - Manny Ramirez - Would be a #3/4 hitter if this draft had even one more team, IMO

C - Yadier Molina - one of the best ever

OF - Lou Brock - +3,000 hits and 1,600 runs and will be a pinch runner

OF - Sammy Sosa - +600 HR, +1,600 RBI
