Ok I completely disagree

Montana won the 4 Superbowls he played in yes, but give credit to Brady making it to 9 of them and winning 6.

3 time league MVP, 4 time superbowl MVP

He's played in 3 times the superbowls, that's the GOAT easily

I'm not well versed in NFL history but it seems unlike the Brodeur discussion the media and fans at large agree that after 28-3 Brady is the GOAT

I'm a big football fan.

I considered Brady the GOAT after he beat Seattle, that tied him with Montana for championships so that a argument went out the window.

After 28-3 turned into 34-28, I said the debate was sealed and theres literally nothing you could hold against the guy anymore. He was already stupid clutch and that comeback just brought it to a next level. Last night didn't do anything for his legacy except for the fact hes now the sole record holder of most Super Bowls. I hate saying certain records are unbreakable, but I cant imagine any player breaking all the records he has Super Bowl-wise. Getting to 4 of them like Montana did was thought of as something no QB will ever do again. Brady has done that + 5.

Its cool tho how he grew up idolizing Montana and ended up de-throning him as the best ever. Sort of like how Gretzky did to Howe.

Watching Crosby on the PK is such a treat. He's so f***ing smart and sound in his positioning. Played 3:31 on the kill tonight w/ his 2nd SH point. Been playing more and more there as the season has gone on. Just the progression I've been talking about the past few years that I'm seeing in his game and usage.

I'm aware. I meant beyond that. Long term.
If Edmonton is not competing for the Stanley Cup by 2026,... indeed one expects him - as a then 29 year old UFA - to seek opportunities elsewhere.

But that is a long time away. Nothing that happens this season or next season has any bearing on his eventual decision that far into the future.

In the meantime, he has $100,000,000 to spend.

Oh, absolutely. Time should be on his side, but the Oilers are so bad that they won't be fixed overnight. Barring a hellova turnaround it would take 2-3 years at a minimum to right that ship.

I don't sense that he's the type of a person who would demand a trade out of there, but then again if things don't improve 7 more years is a long time to be stuck in a "world of shit" as Leonard "Gomer Pyle" Lawrence would say.

McDavid is too humble to ask for a trade unless things somehow get even worse. However I don't think he wants to spend his 20s on a bottom feeder.

He'd keep it quiet because he's beloved here, but I don't think the majority of Oilers fans will blame him

Edit: 10 points back unless he goes crazy these last 30ish games he's not threepeating

It's way to early to write him off for the Ross. Kucherov and the Bolts are going to go into coast mode the last month of the season. We saw Kuch tail off last year.

To be honest, I'd worry more about Kane. The Hawks aren't very good but still have an outside shot at a WC birth so they'll be going balls to the wall. And even if they fall out in the standings I think they'll push for Kane to get another Ross.

On the bright side we'll be able to fix our lack of top 6 forwards when we win the draft lottery and get to draft 1st overall again.

Start the cycle anew

Just do vs.x and adjust to full season. That would be the mistake accurate. Playing longer shouldn’t be a punishment.

Ken Hitchcock praises Crosby, says what McDavid can learn from him ahead of Penguins-Oilers matchup

This was Ken Hitchcock the other day on Crosby....really speaking to what I said this past Monday (near the top of the page)...

“Sid thinks at a level, when the other team has the puck, that’s above anybody in the league,” Hitchcock said. “His anticipation when the other team has the puck is so high, and he knows where it’s going ahead of time. He anticipates what the next play is going to be, and puts his stick in that lane, or he gets the puck himself and creates the turnover. He also knows where people are located on the ice to turn that turnover into a scoring chance.”

Hitchcock cited a lot of Crosby’s quietly brilliant plays from the Penguins’ rivalry matchup against the Flyers on Monday that didn’t make it onto the final score sheet.

“All you have to do is look at the first three scoring chances in the Philadelphia game,” Hitchcock continued. “He created those scoring chances three different ways, and every time, a Pittsburgh defenseman had the puck. If you go and look at the end of the game, it’s a 6-on-4 power play, and he froze a really good player on the half wall with his stick and body position for 15 seconds to kill the power play. His thinking on the ice when the other team has the puck is so elite that he knows when to pick it off and when to freeze people.”

If PC made that deal for Ryan McDonnagh and almost nothing else

We'd be cup contenders with that lineup

Instead we're a f***ing joke
