WSJ News Exclusive | AT&T Explores Parting Ways With DirecTV

WSJ - looking to sell?

AT&T is not focused on selling DirecTV, sources say
Or not?

But recent NBR mentioned they were even considering it due to # of folks dropping service.

DirecTV is more susceptible to cord-cutters than cable simply because they do not provide broadband that people can use to stream.

DirecTV's gold mine is NFL Sunday Ticket and the fees they charge commercial accounts but if they lose that exclusive....

BUT all eyes are on Canada where DAZN has been having issues delivering the NFL and Premier League and bar owners are revolting. Not only are there buffering problems but also the issue of places with more than one TV being in perfect sync.

With sports looking more and more at online betting the delay with streaming will become a bigger issue.
