Just an awful game, a game that bad deserves to end in penalties. Felt like Perth spent half the game aimlessly passing the ball around in their own end and doing nothing. I was imagining a team trying that vs the Red Bulls back when they pressed the hell out of teams (a tactic we have abandoned because it was clearly too successful as we were winning too many games using it) and they would've gotten killed. Also what the hell was that freaking guy thinking doing a paneko (or whatever the hell the term for it is) instead of just hammering the ball into the back of the net? The result was one of the most embarrassing penalties of all time.

Santalab. Retiring too so that was his last kick.

Panenka. You just don't attempt it down 3-1.

This game means so much more to Liverpool than just winning one trophy.

Every team in on the planet is going to call us about Salah, Mane, and Virgil. That conversation changes entirely if we're European Champions and they're not. We need a trophy to sustain this entire project. United, Real, Juve, and Bayern are all below full-power and "rebuilding," (as far as teams like that actually rebuild) and the door is wide open for a team to claim a spot on the Mount Rushmore of Europe's elite the way United did in the 90's when they knocked us off our f***ing perch.

A generation of Liverpool football is potentially on the line June the 1st.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan to miss Europa League final

Mkhitaryan is out of the Europa League final because Armenians are banned from Azerbaijan.

Just absolutely ridiculous.
This makes all those stupid “anti-racism” weekends beyond hypocritical. Guy can’t play in a Final because two peoples hate each other.

Chelsea and Arsenal should tell UEFA to go **** themselves and just play the game at Wembley...or in a nation that doesn’t ban people based on nationality.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Short notice, but Wembley would sell this thing out in a half a f***ing second with two London teams.

If not every player is welcome and safe to play in a country than that country should absolutely not receive a final. Baku isn't even capable of handling the number of travelers that you should expect from a final.

If United can hijack de Ligt away from Barca, it would start to make up for the embarrassment of the last two years of on field and transfer window performances.

We were hearing it was pretty much a "done deal" to Barcelona and all of a sudden, as of today, it's a "done deal" to United.

Interesting turn of events.

He'll end up at Barca or Real like everyone does.

You reach a certain plateau where those are literally the only two teams.

That priceless moment you find out that Arsenal lost the final. That very next moment when you realize Chelsea won.

Anyone watching at Fiddlesticks tomorrow? If so, good luck finding me amongst the hordes. NYC Spurs sold out like five bars to watch this game. Crazy.
