AFC Champions League entered match day 2.

Shanghai SIPG got goals from Hulk and Oscar in a 5-1 drubbing of Western Sydney Wanderers.

Fellow Aussies the Brisbane Roar lost to Ulsan Hyundai 6-0.

Thai side Muang Thong United beat Japanese champion Kashima Antlers 2-1 for their first ACL win. Kashima also lost to FC Tokyo on the first match day of the J-League. Bad form for them.

K-League starts March 4.

Australia is in Asia?

I recall learning that Oceania was it's own continent.

Australia 'moved' from the Oceania qualifying region to Asia a few years ago cause it offered a clearer way to qualify and better preparation for the world cup. With the expanded World cup being introduced I wouldn't be surprised to see them come crawling back.

There's been a bit of a 'sky is falling' backlash to the most recent run of AFC Champions League results in Australia as well

Sucks no Jeonbuk this year. I was pretty interested to see the way that they would stack up against some of these Chinese teams with all garbage players except for a couple big money stars.

Thought they could be the most dominant team in AFC since Seoul a decade ago.
