With no games until February, I figured I'd share this for fun.

Sporcle Quiz: Name all the Edmonton Oilers since 2005-06

I can only recall about 200/271 right now, so I'm trying to get that average up.

It's an interesting list of names...some flashbacks to the DoD, some "what-ifs" who never hit their stride, and also some great warriors who gave us great memories during a dark era.

Mcdavid and Draisaitl to get you started.

Why traumatize ourselves by remembering the dearth of minor pro players that became Oilers under the worst management group to run an NHL hockey team in league history.

I’d rather visit the dentist while getting my prostrate checked. (Gives a new meaning to the term “Open Wide!”)

a good tip is you just have to type in the last name of the player.

Also remembering proper spelling on some of the players was a bit of a challenge.

I noticed i remember something about the player before the name came to mind. Like the guy who blocked a shot and it dented his cup. Or the spin at centre ice shootout guy, ect.

121/271 higher than average.

One way I remembered players was thinking who the previous player I got was traded for etc.

Most random one I got was Ryan Potulny, though he did have 70+ games.

I got to 126 without assistance.

In the end it somehow became way easier to think of random guys that came through here like Liam Reddox than it was trying to think of the guy with 300 games that I didn't have yet.

I can't believe I missed #1

But still got the likes of Grebeshkov and Arcobello

unsurprisingly, I did really well on that 2006 team that went on a run.

I Googled “Crappy Hockey Players since 2006” and got the entire list of Edmonton Oilers during the DOD.

Slepychev doesn't work for me but it's part of the solution...either way the hardest is the correct spelling in this quiz ;-)
