Small guy at 5'8" so that will be something to overcome if he wishes to stick in the NHL, has the speed and hockey IQ to play the "small guy hockey" though.
Smooth skater as well and responsible defensively (filled in as defender during a game when the team lost 3 dmen to injuries)
Plays tough in the board battles and consistently wins them, quite gutsy player especially for his size.
Lead his team in points (great feat for 21 yo).
Excellent at faceoffs; was top 10 in FO% league wide and took more faceoffs than anyone in the league.

Not sure what are Sabres' plans for Arttu Ruotsalainen but currently he dominates Finnish Liiga. He stands #1 in score board and #1 in goal scoring once 1/3 of regular season played. Previous 19/20 season was also great for him.

Gotta think he'll be given a long look whenever camp opens up. He could push Eakin for the 3C spot, or slot in as a winger on that line. Should probably get some looks playing the Olofsson spot (RW half wall) on PP2 also.

Arttu told in local Finnish news how he has put efforts to develop his shooting, he also moves well and passes are perfect as they have been. Last season he finished 44 games with 15 + 28 record but in current season he stands 16 + 11 after 19 games being #1 in most Finnish league standings. He has never been on top on this stats but now he is so fair to say he has developed further since Sabres reserved him. Arttu has taken also few fights in current season what he previously didn't do so in local measures he is now grown up and certain national team player if he stays in Finland. Buffalo could really challenge for a playoff spot next year if Ullmark can hold the fort down.
