Biron still hasn't made a his decision. The Rangers should look to terminate the SPC if Biron doesn't report to the AHL or retire. He cleared waivers on Tuesday. A player needs to report and accept the assignment. Its part of the players contract. Maybe they gave him a few extra days. Paragraph 14 of the SPC.

How much more time should the Rangers give Biron? He is 36 years old. They waived him and he cleared waivers. Management probably looked to trade him before waiving him. They will need to add a goaltender in the minors for depth purposes if Biron doesn't report. Biron can have a career in TV and live with his family in upstate NY. Fly into Toronto or Montreal once a week. Be away from home a couple of days a week. He can also report to the AHL and receive his $1.3M.

If Marty gets a broadcasting gig, great for him. He can have a wonderful career at it and his salary can come completely off the Ranger's books.

Give his 1.3m to Bryzgalov

Played well for us for stretches. Great teammate and person. In the end, he decided to retire with some dignity rather than go back to the AHL after his long NHL career. I really can't blame him.

But how the hell did his puckhandling skill not rub off on Hank at all during his time here?
