So Toronto gets 800M to rename the ACC to Scotia Bank Arena.

Anyone remember what Melnyk got from Canadian Tire?

I don't know how many years the CTC deal runs, but I remember reading that it was believed to be worth in the 1.5-2.0M per year range.

I'm just wondering when we'll run out of Scotiabank (arena sounding names) and end up with the Scotiabank Multi Use Facility to play in.
How many is this now, four or five Scotiabank sponsored venues for Canadian NHL teams?

Engerlanddd!
Leafs fans are comical, especially “now they have a 30G #3C...”

Ie Kadri got 30G playing a lot more minutes and now he won’t do jack

Hard to put up points with less icetime, less PP time, and lesser linemates.
He scored his 30 goals last year as their 3rd line Center.

All they've done is swapped out Bozak from their #2 and inserted Tavares.

Kadri did his damage with Connor Brown, Leo Komorov, Marner and Marleau. He will be in a position to duplicate his year for sure, he's going to see just as much PP time, but now has Tavares instead of Bozak.

They never released the money Cdn Tire pays for the rights, but I believe Scotiabank was paying somewhere around $2m per season, so assume Cdn Tire is paying more.

The other thing is that Cdn Tire also agreed to foot the bill for a number of arena upgrades and maintenance work.

That's true, but I'd be willing to bet a Tavares-led second line will get more icetime than a Bozak-led second line. I'm not sure what kind of icetime the 4th line got, but I doubt you could cut into their minutes all that much, so the third line will likely take a hit.
