I'm glad that Pittsburgh didn't draw Columbus again in the first round. Would've been repetitive to see Dubinsky and co. trying to manhandle Crosby only to lose in 5. The battle of Pennsylvania should be an absolute treat.

Easy work for the Leafs.

They're going deep this year, might even win the Cup.

We saw how Boston's experience made them a really tough out last year.

I don't think the Leafs are ready.

Really? ... I live in the boonies and go to AZ for the winter so .. I don't catch these new crazes

The team is a lot of fun to watch and all skill.

Then you have the media constantly telling everyone how amazing and important the Leafs are.

It makes sense. It's just a great reminder of how Ottawa is bandwagon central. All the Habs fans have vanished now that their team is officially garbage, we didn't see Toronto fans until very recently etc...

It'll come down to how important Carlo is to Boston I think.

Leafs have mediocre D so as long as Boston can keep the puck out of the net they are the favourites.

Toronto will probably win their 2 home games, and that's that.

Aside from that, there's a lot of really good matchups in the 1st round, notably Kings vs Knights, and the battle of Pennsylvania. I'll be cheering for the Flyers in the East, and the Jets in the West.

Yeah I'll be watching that Vegas / LA series with a bit of interest too I guess.

Due to geography it has the potential to turn into a real nice rivalry.

Guys, refresh my memory: when was the last time the Leafs were in the playoffs and we weren't? Was it the year they played Boston and lost in Game 7?

Focusing all my negative energy on rooting against the Leafs and the Pens.

Sarcasm?

Maybe the Leafs pull it off but Boston is the last Eastern Conference team I would choose to play. Not just for the Leafs - for anyone. Bruins have great depth at every position and top players who have won it all before. Toughest team in the east, imo.
