Seeing a lot of *****baggery in this new generation of hockey superstars. Unfortunate. Hopefully we don't turn into the NFL thug league.

Oh I bet there’s tons of stories that have never surfaced over the years from the good old days too. Back then, there were a lot of “no see no tell” types covering sports and politics.

Nothing has changed except it’s no longer easy to keep these stories on the QT now

According to ABC 15 in Arizona, police say they investigated the incident that reportedly took place in May between Matthews and a security officer at an apartment complex.
According to ABC 15’s report, Matthews saw the guard sitting in a car and decided to jiggle the door handle. Matthews also dropped his pants and exposed his underwear to the guard, according to police. A few days later, the guard filed a report about the incident.

Matthews hasn’t been arrested in relation to the charge and none of the allegations have been proven in court. Court documents show a hearing related to the case is scheduled for Scottsdale City Court on Wednesday. Matthews does not have to appear in person.

Holy overreaction. The NHL will never be anything close to the NFL when it comes to "*****ebaggery".

How can you be so sure

Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews makes statement in regards to disorderly conduct charge - Sportsnet.ca

A spokesperson for the Scottsdale police confirmed that they investigated a disorderly conduct case that occurred in Matthews’ hometown in Arizona on May 26, 2019, and was reported two days later, but he was not arrested.
According to the Police report, a female security guard at a condo complex made the complaint. She alleges that while she was doing paperwork in her car at 2:00 a.m., a man she identified as Matthews and a group of males attempted to open the door to her vehicle. The complainant alleges that when she exited her vehicle to confront them, the group appeared to be intoxicated and that Matthews told her they believed it would be funny to see how she would respond.
The report also stated that the complainant alleged that as Matthews walked away, he pulled down his pants and grabbed his buttocks, though she also said Matthews kept his underwear on. The report noted that upon review of surveillance video, a male subject was seen walking toward the elevator with his pants down, while wearing a shirt and underwear.
