Er, French, German, Italian or Romansh.
I'm kind of confused about what is taking COL/Rantenen so long to make a deal. Colorado has $15 million in cap space and Rantenen is a stud at 22yr old with back to back 80+ point seasons.
That's a guy that I'd move Krug and any prospect for
I think he wants Marner money and Sakic does not want to pay that.
At least Point has a cap issue to work around. TB has a somewhat realistic reason not to give him 10m.
I dunno, maybe there are some GMs out there that dont want to risk a long term big money deal on a young kid that could fall off or get injured and leave the team in trouble for many years to come.

It would be a huge shock of he fell off. Over the last two years he ranks 5th among RW in P/GP. The 4 in front are Kucherov, Marner, Kane & Wheeler
I would tell him if he wants Marner money ‘0.0’
Didn't the Rangers tell him not to bother coming to training camp too
The difference in their P/GP comes out to 4pts over the last two season. So maybe ots not so crazy of an ask.
You can’t let the Leafs crazy mismanagement off the Cap dictate what you do
I would offer him two deals
3 years - 7 M per
8 years - 10 M per
Zero he’s getting the Marner or Matthews deal
If not - get back to me December 1
He has little leverage if he wants to play in nhl
Oh sure, but his Agent has a pretty solid comp to go by with the Marner contract. I wouldn't say he has no leverage, he's a key piece to Colorado's offense and there is no one who can replace his production for them.
He’s got the comp
But as my parents used to say ‘if Chrissy Potter jumps off a bride will you’
I’m the GM I’m not giving him that deal because I got the leverage
3/21 or 8/80
Or play in Europe
I got Maker and the first rounder watching this
I can’t give every star player 11 M and FA at 26 like Matthews
Top 5 RW in production over the last 2 years and only 22yr old. Those are not easy to find and again Colorado has more cap space than anyone in the NHL. I think 8/80 is reasonable, but it sounds like right now they are offering around 8 million for a longer term deal.
Wow, Chabot got PAID
Evils up 3-0 over Rags 16 left to go 2nd period, Lundqvist in goal
Opps Rangers just scored 3-1 now
4-1 NJ now. Our old friend Joe Morrow is a Ranger
Dumba scores, 1-0 Wild over Avs
Total staged fight with Chis Stewart and whoevertheranger guy was. Trying to make an impression. Bull****.
If this doesn’t show why most fights are useless, I don’t know what does (I’m not against fighting but that is absolute crap. It’s fighting to fight not to do anything else)
They waived him.
Second game in a row the Rangers have given up 2 early goals, both on re-directs. Might be a long season for Rangers fans.
NJ gonna have to outscore their problems.
The second one was off Trouba’s foot, but still a redirect
Also, I wish they were both either wingers or defensemen so they could be Left Foote and Right Foote
I'll see myself out.
Czarnik got an apple
