McDavid single handedly wins the game, Oilers to lose next game guaranteed.

Rick Nash retiring. Apparently we had inquired about his services.

Wow. The, what, $20,000 payout sure sounds like it offsets the end of his career....Wow.

I know he's old but as a cheap bit player he still had time left.

Very smart to check in with him.
He'd fit in nicely here right now if he was healthy.

Sucks for Columbus. Bob might be bad in the playoffs so far, but he has turned that team into a playoff team.

He was better last playoffs seems like he hates the team now.

It just sucks how that situation has played out. We got so lucky that Letang, Sid and Malkin wanted to be here long term. Even MAF to a degree.

They can’t trade him unless he wants to be either. I think they have asked him earlier in the season and he said no. Maybe that changes but he’d better start playing better. His SV% the last month is .814

This new incident with CBJ, whatever it is, may also tank his trade value. At the same time, he's won Vezinas, and several teams are desperate for goaltending.

Um, Yandle just tried to do this to Monahan:

    Luckily he missed.

Was he trying to strike the player or just the stick?

A two handed over head chop is ridiculous and honestly deserves a suspension because it is ****ing irresponsible (even when guys hit goals after being scored on etc).

But it seems like he just wanted to slash the stick really ****ing hard.

    Stupid move, though.

Not sure, I've never seen someone slash a stick like that before. I definitely agree it was stupid, though.

Caps and CBJ tonight, i guess you gotta root for the Caps to win in regulation.

Na. 1st place in the division is still doable. Down with the Caps.

Ok Philly stop tanking. You have no business being the worst team in the league.

Yeah I'd be more than fine with Hughes and kakko landing in LA/Colorado

It's kind of glorious watching them suck, though. Especially after some of their fanbase was pretty arrogant about how awesome all their defensemen were going to be and how they'd be a powerhouse sooner rather than later.

I think that still happens. Coaching is atrocious though.

So are we rooting Caps or Jackets tonight?

I really do love the capitals announcers. I can't stand Mears and clown.
