Can we all agree the Capitals are overrated?

6-0 to New Jersey.

That’s the type of loss teams never recover from
I watched quite a bit of this game and the Devils looked possessed. Utter and complete domination, if it weren't for Copley it0 could have been legit 10-0.

Watched highlights of Columbus’s game last night and I’m now on the trade for Panarin bandwagon. That guy is so good.

Some updates:

Shea Weber skated for the first time since July yesterday. Expected it to return around the 1st of the year.

Nolan Patrick our for 1-2 weeks with the dreaded “upper body injury”.

Austin Watson’s domestic violence suspension reduced from 27 to 18 games (33% for the math challenged ).

Just looking over some standings and noticed that Toronto has scored 25 goals and allowed 20 goals....while playing some pretty weak competition... MTL, DET, OTT to new a few. I'll be interested to see how they do against a team like WSH on Saturday. I just can't see the hype of that team if their going to have to win 1 goal games while scoring 5 goals a night.

How they only penalized Wood and not Ovechkin too for that little melee was beyond me.
I KNOW!!!!! I was all jacked for Ovi to get PIMS for my fantasy team. Wood did initiate everything though..he was about to go to the bench and when he noticed the scrum in the corner he made a B line for Ovi

Washington will be looking to bounce back after getting smashed by the Devils. Should be a high scoring game.

Austin Matthews scores 70 goals becomes first $15 M player

You have to meet all the criteria to offer sheet...firsts secounds etc...which team can do that today? Hoping it's Lou in NY (not Jersey.) Leaf news folk worried Lou wants some revenge on Toronto. :)

I hope leaf's are faced with multiple offer sheets for Matthews and Marner.

I think the opposite is going to happen. Leafs are really run and gunning, it's padding the stats, and the value of these players is skyrocketing, and to the point teams are not going to want them for that kind of dough. Including the Leafs, but they'll have little choice, this is the type of team they have created. Real interested in where they take this team with the pieces it has and the pending Cap issues. Leave it the way it is, pay them all, go forward top heavy and hope for the best, or make a couple moves and hope it makes you a real threat and doesn't actually make you worse. Good luck with that fan base making those decisions.

Matthews looking at $100/8
12.5 AVV
The Leafs fans thinking he’s taking $10 M are going to be disappointed

$10 M for Marner and Matthews is going to be something insane. Leafs window is this year. Crazy how Tavares will leave the leafs in a real jam. The leafs have some really nice trading assets. Reminds me of the bruins and Kessel a few years back.

They need an iron-clad Domestic Violence clause that prevents these kind of suspensions from being appealed.

This is disgusting and the Preds need to hold up the suspension on their end.
