If MAF doesn't retire, add a few key FA signings and some dramatic comeback seasons and youngsters, they could make the playoffs and go on a run. MTL made a run (even if they had no prayer in the finals)

I was really hoping the devils took kakko. I have a feeling jack Hughes by 22-23 is going to be an absolute game breaker.

kakko was a great consolation prize though.

The way things have worked out - as it was easily foreseeable at the time - it was just better for us to get a center, so I agree.

I love Kakko but if I could go back and time and somehow either win that lottery outright or have the Devils take Kakko, I'd sign up for that.
